October 6! Sunday morning we have been asked to stand and cheer on the runners of the Portland Marathon and Half Marathon. They have asked for us to stand at mile 11 and mile 24...which will be an amazing spot since it will be people rounding half way and then people finishing up the run!
The course map is attached below. Our spot will be in SE near the waterfront. The coordinates are 45.47881643895774,-122.67272687580942...which is stupidly specific. The spot in near Bamboo Grove Hawaiian Grille.
Meg and I are still collecting information on the event.
They are asking us to be there from 8am-1pm. Cheering loud and encouraging every one working very hard. We will need to be as obnoxious as possible! Bring cowbells, signs, noisemakers, streamers, and anything else you can think of. People who want are more than welcome to be on skates, but keep in mind we will not know what the weather will be like nor is there a lot of moving while we cheering.
